Star of MTV’s hit supernatural drama Teen Wolf, Tyler Hoechlin, is known for playing the breakout role of Derek Hale, who was born a warewolf and was initially that dark horse that viewers could not tell was good or bad.

Connecting with the actor, Hoechlin shares what it’s like being on one of television’s most talked about shows, from a passionate baseball player to fully commit to an acting career, preparation for his upcoming role in an independent film called ‘Undrafted’, directed by actor Joe Mazzello and what the future looks like.

Regarding the new Batman, Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf, Lincoln Heights, 7th Heaven, Road To Perdition) is being heavily considered for the part and will be getting a screen test alongside Henry Cavill. Warner Bros. and Snyder are looking at somebody to play the new Batman with a reputation similar to Cavill’s, when Cavill was testing for Superman. It’s also said that better known actors could also be testing for the role. As filming is expected to begin in early 2014, screen tests should be happening soon.

No word yet on whether this is legit or not, but as more news surfaces I will be sure to let you know. If Tyler is being considered for Batman, I wish him the best of luck and hope he gets the part!

+ The second half of Teen Wolf‘s third season has a premiere date. Circle Jan. 6 on your calendars!

+ ’The virgin sacrifices are over,” said Davis, “but the question of Stiles’ virginity has not been answered but it will be answered in an upcoming episode.” Yup, he means sex. Our money’s on a Lydia-Stiles hook-up, especially in light of Davis’s comment later on after the footage from later this season was screened: “A kiss isn’t just a kiss.”

+ We will find out “what’s up with Lydia” in episode 9, called “The Girl Who Knew Too Much.” Hinted Roden: “The name of the episode is a clue.”

+ The big Derek flashback episode is finally upon us! Said Davis: ”It’s one of the most different of our episodes that we’ve done and we’ve done a lot of experiments this season…but this flashback episode takes us back to Derek’s past and we’re really proud of it. You get a lot of insight into the Hale family, especially the question about a werewolf eyes.”

+ Soon, said Davis, the show will be heading into new mythology involving a Japanese shapeshifter. “We’re excited to take things into a new direction.”

Choice quote: Two. Jeff Davis: “Don’t interrupt the show runner. I write your lines.” AND O’Brien, re his friendship with Posey: ”He’s literally my best friend in the world.” Aww!

Most incisive audience question: “Will we ever see the return of Miguel?” — asked by cast member Keahu Kahuanui, who dressed up in an elaborate costume (complete with a hood and crazy contact lenses) so he could sneak into the question line undetected by fans. The crowd went wild when he revealed himself. Also, one overwhelmed fan broke down into tears while asking her question, instantly winning the affection of the panel. When she finally squeaked out her question? “Would any of you all ever want to be a vampire. OH NO!” (She meant “werewolf.”) Totally memorable moment.

The “Teen Wolf” team is gearing up to start filming their giant 24-episode Season 3, but before they do, executive producer Jeff Davis has start casting those super-threatening alphas who are closing in on Beacon Hills. First up? Ethan and Aidan, a pair of identical twin alpha werewolves.

“Young, handsome, but utterly menacing,” reads the open casting call. “They’re dangerous charmers. Ethan has a brilliant mind that he uses for devious calculation. Aidan is the simple brute force of the duo.” It appears that Aidan might develop an attraction to one of the girls… which he insists won’t get in the way when it’s time to kill her. (That’s what they all say.)

And yes — we did say open casting call. If you’re a male, at least 18 years old, and you happen to have an identical twin handy, you can head on over to teenwolftwins.com and submit a video audition.

We can’t tell you much about the alpha pack, but we can tell you this: They’re in town for a very specific reason, and that reason involves Jackson (Colton Haynes) and his whole Kanima situation.

After two seasons in Atlanta, MTV’s drama “Teen Wolf” is leaving town to shoot in Los Angeles if it gets a third season.

Stefanie Paupeck, a spokeswoman for the Georgia Film, TV and Film, Music & Digital Entertainment office, confirmed the news over the weekend.

It’s the first time a successful scripted TV series is leaving Atlanta mid-run. (As someone mentioned below, judge show “Swift Justice’ left town last year but also lost Nancy Grace in the process.) California offers tax credits, like Georgia, but limits them to a certain dollar amount. Since there is far more demand than supply, the state holds a lottery.

MTV and MGM, the production companies that make “Teen Wolf,” put in for the lottery – and won. So “Teen Wolf” is going Hollywood for a likely third season. (The show is averaging 1.7 to 1.8 million viewers in its first run so far, comparable to season one. Though MTV has not said so, a renewal is likely.)

Despite what has been said by Georgia officials, an MTV spokeswoman said a final decision has not been made on a location, though that may be because they haven’t squared everything yet in California.
